Was born in 1989 in Moscow. A year later his family moved to the United States. He began studying piano at age of 3, giving his first solo performance when he was four years old. Simon has since appeared along with his parents, pianists Yelena and Vladimir Polezhayev, and his brother, violinist Anton Polezhayev in numerous recitals in the Metropolitan New York Area, such as the International Concert Series at Hofstra University, Winter musicales at Queens College and in such major venues as CAMI Hall, Steinway Hall in Manhattan and The Weill Recital Hall at Carnegie Hall.
At the age of 13 Simon won a scholarship to study with Eugene Levinson at the Pre-College Division of the Juilliard School. In 2005 Simon performed the Dragonetti Double Bass Concerto with the Island Chamber Orchestra conducted by Jeremy Kempton at NYIT. In 2007 Simon won a Concerto Competition and performed S.Koussevitzky Double Bass Concerto with the Juilliard Pre-College Orchestra conducted by Adam Glaser. In 2006, 2007 & 2008 he won a scholarship to attend the Aspen Music Festival and School.
Recently he is 2nd year student at the Juilliard School in the studio of Eugene Levinson, Principal Double Bass of the New Your Philharmonic.
